Our Mission
At CHIJ Kellock, we believe that every child is created uniquely by God with the capacity to imagine, create and make a positive difference in the world. Through meaningful Art experiences, we nurture joyful and confident learners who grow in creativity, resilience and compassion. We seek to develop Kellock Girls who express themselves with confidence, appreciate beauty in God's creation, and use their gifts to serve others with love and purpose.
Curriculum
Our Art curriculum is guided by the MOE Art Syllabus (2023) and is thoughtfully designed to nurture the whole child through the three domains of Art learning:
See – Observe with curiosity, inquire deeply and discover meaning in the world around them.
Express – Create with imagination and confidence, communicating ideas, emotions and experiences through visual forms.
Appreciate – Reflect on and value diverse artworks, cultures and perspectives while recognising beauty in God's creation and the gifts of others.
Anchored by the MOE Art Big Ideas that "Art tells stories about our world", "Art helps us see in new ways," and “Art influences how we live”, students engage in authentic art-making experiences that encourage them to explore, question, reflect and respond thoughtfully to the world around them.
Key Programmes
Art at CHIJ Kellock extends beyond creating beautiful artworks. It provides meaningful opportunities for students to grow. As they create and reflect, students learn to appreciate the uniqueness of every individual, respect different perspectives and recognise the beauty found around them. Through these experiences, they live out the Kellock Girl Values of Love, Graciousness, Integrity, Respect, Responsibility and Resilience, making thoughtful choices both within and beyond the classroom.
